Description: This is a point shapefile showing the location of emergency shelters in Georgia ( 2008). The file was created by geocoding addresses of the shelters obtained from the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS). For shelters not geocoded to HPAU Geocoding Standards, coordinates were replaced by Google Earth coordinates. Although these data have been processed successfully on a computer system at the Georgia GIS Data Clearinghouse, no warranty expressed or implied is made by Georgia GIS Data Clearinghouse regarding the utility of the data on any other system, nor shall the act of distribution constitute any such warranty.
